Account Executive
The position is responsible for delivering high revenue accounts while working in a team environment. This person will be able to implement a successful sales strategy in identifying and targeting the right customer prospects to grow our web based, SaaS business. Through call center and electronic contact, this person will develop and close business. Additionally, this position will work closely with senior sales, development, marketing, and support to ensure that revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met.
Responsibilities:
- Identify new business opportunities and execute a sales strategy
- Provide input to the weekly/monthly forecast plan and meeting schedule
- Build and maintain new/existing customer relationships while understanding and addressing customer needs in a profitable manner for both parties
- Travel, as appropriate to industry events, tradeshows and customer sites effectively presenting, educating and demonstrating GVL solutions
- Be an expert with respect to the products, market, and competition
- Ability to work in a self directed manner in a fast paced, high reward environment
- Exhibit professionalism in all internal and external environments exemplifying GVL’s core values
- Perform as sales professional within the company in an entrepreneurial spirit
Qualifications:
- B.S./B.A. Degree
- 3-5 years experience of successful sales results in service industries selling directly to professionals;
- Direct and phone sales experience required
- Demonstrated hunter/seeker sales methodology
- Verifiable history of rapid sales growth, consistently meeting or exceeding plan
- Some travel required
- Strong presentation skills to professional and technical audiences
- Demonstrated ability to create and foster relationships with industry players, agencies and key customers
- Use of Microsoft Office products required
- History of and willingness to embrace technology.
- Working knowledge of Internet technologies and SaaS experience highly desired
- Ability to work effectively with broad range of customer types ranging from end users to key decision makers, owners and/or senior management
- A Heart for Animal Health and Sciences field
- Background in selling to Animal Health, Regulatory, and Veterinary Services and or software solutions desired
