User Experience Internship

Job Summary

As a UX Design Intern at GVL, you’ll work to ideate and iterate on products, services, and experiences in the animal health space. You will gain experience in a variety of areas including design systems, complex workflows, and different research methodologies to make sure we are keeping customer needs at the center of our design process. You’ll be leveraging customer insights to create and communicate your ideas visually, and work with cross-functional teams to build and test your digital experiences.

What you’ll do:

  • Work collaboratively with product managers, designers and developers to identify user problems and design innovative solutions for real products
  • Collaborate with the product team to ship the features that you help to design
  • Communicate your thought process and present designs at weekly team collaboration sessions
  • Assist in planning and conducting user research, including user interviews, remote or in-house research and moderated or unmoderated user testing

Qualifications

  • Current BS or MS student majoring in User Experience Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), User Research, or related fields.
  • A portfolio of sketches, wireframes, prototypes and hi-res comps that clearly express your ability to create successful user-centered design solutions
  • Must be able to work a minimum of 15 hours per week
  • Positive attitude and strong problem-solving skills
  • Professional attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
