Beef Producers Prefer Private vs. Government Control

by Dec 17, 2014News0 comments

In a survey conducted by BEEF magazine, beef producers have spoken and voiced that they prefer private control of animal traceability data, rather than government. Following the new Animal Disease Traceability (ADT) program becoming mandatory in early 2013, many questions have been put out there, including the organization that will manage the data put into the ADT system. In the survey, which was sent out in August of 2014, beef producers were asked a series of scenarios to determine the factors that influence participation in the mandatory traceability system. In the end, when the question about maintaining data was asked, most respondents chose private industry over government. GlobalVetLINK is proud to maintain this independent, third-party status that is held valuable by many in the animal health industry, especially for eCVIs and eVFDs. GlobalVetLINK sets out to be the most trusted, secured, and independent resource for animal health software solutions, and will continue to do so well into the future.
