California Proposes Antibiotic Restrictions

With the recent announcement of FDA Guidance 213 comes widespread reaction to the news, and two California politicians are saying that these actions are not enough. Senator Jerry Hill and State Assembly member Kevin Mullin have both proposed their own bills that further stricken the use of antibiotics in food animals. Not all Assembly members are quoted as supporters of these more extensive restrictions, making the future of these bills unclear.
