Event: GVL System Enhancements Simplify Compliance

Ames, Iowa (Oct 1, 2015) – Today GlobalVetLINK (GVL®) introduced new system enhancements that help simplify compliance with the recent Veterinary Feed Directives (VFD) ruling and increase efficiency in veterinary clinics. The development release is the largest of 2015 and affects multiple products across the GVL platform, including FeedLINK® Veterinary Feed Directive (eVFD) System, HealthLINK® Digital Animal Health Certification System, as well as EquusLINK™ Digital EIA Certificates and Lab Submission System.

FeedLINK® Veterinary Feed Directive (eVFD) System has been updated to make GVL’s system the only fully operational system that is FDA compliant with the VFD requirement changes effective October 1, 2015. The changes address specific documentation and storage needs outlined in the VFD ruling and will streamline and simplify compliance for all stakeholders.

HealthLINK® Digital Animal Health Certification System powered by SmartEngine™ is now in beta testing with a group of select customers. SmartEngine technology will aid GVL customers in complying with animal movement requirements set forth by each state. By making requirements available within the HealthLINK system while creating Health Certificates (eCVIs), the tedious process of verifying movement requirements is removed.

EquusLINK™ Digital EIA Certificates and Lab Submission System now allows users to create more than one Equine Infectious Anemia (EIA) test for an owner at a time, a feature added based on user feedback. The batch creation of tests will help veterinarians save time when performing EIA tests on multiple horses with the same owner in the same location.

GlobalVetLINK (GVL®) was founded in 2001 and is the nation’s leader in digital animal health records, providing intuitive online certification solutions that enable animal health practitioners to quickly and accurately create professional health records. GlobalVetLINK services support animal health practitioners to establish protocols that will help improve their business in all aspects including saving money and time.
