As part of the GVL blog, we’re featuring our employees so you can get an inside view into what keeps GVL running. We are very proud of our team and excited to share some of our employee profiles with you.

Today we’re featuring GVL Customer Success Representative Ali Tam.

Ali has been a member of the GVL customer success team for a year, beginning as an intern and now serving as a full time representative. Her job includes, but is not limited to, answering phone calls, replying to inquiries, logging cases, and recording bugs. Ali also assists in troubleshooting issues that arise with the program and helps to provide a solution for users.

Get to know Ali better:

“I have been around animals my whole life. I have owned dogs, cats, horses, goats, chickens, and plenty of other species. My real passion has been with my horses. I have owned and shown horses for over 16 years, which has introduced me to a number of people in the animal industry and sparked my desire to be apart of this community.

I’m a member of the Iowa Pinto Horse Association and attend their shows throughout the year. My goal is to compete nationally at Color Breed Congress and Pinto World. I love spending time with my family, friends, and pets.

I received my bachelor’s degree from Iowa State University in animal science and an associate’s degree from Ellsworth Community College in equine science. During my college career I got to intern with an amazing large animal veterinarian practice which really fueled my interest for the health care side of the animal industry.

When I saw the opening for this position at GVL, I knew it would be a perfect fit given my background. I have talked to so many great customers who have exposed me to each part of the industry. I love being able to see glimpses of each area and learn something new everyday!

We talk to our customers daily, so we are given the opportunity to hear a lot of feedback about the GVL system. I hear numerous compliments from veterinarians regarding how this system has helped speed up and simplify the process of creating animal heath documents. We get so many great comments regarding how helpful and responsive our support staff is when it comes to answering questions and finding solutions for their problems.”

From GVL Customer Success Team Manager Sadie Williams:

“Ali is a dedicated and hardworking employee. Her background and industry knowledge enables her to be a well rounded and significant support representative for our customers. Most importantly, she comes in every day with a smile on her face ready to tackle any challenge. I am thankful to have such a valuable team member!”

From GVL National Sales Manager Ron Lane:

“Ali is a highly motivated, outcome-focused individual that brings great talent and enthusiasm to the customer success team.”
